For many years Jess was an advertising photographer in Dallas, Texas USA, specializing in photographing ads for large commercial company such as; Dr. Pepper, Budweiser, Frito Lay, IBM, Bell Helicopter, and many others. 

 

Jess was fortunate enough during his career to be the recipient of numerous awards including the CLIO Certificate for Creative Excellence in New York in 1978. 

 

Upon retirement from advertising work Jess still loves to shoot but his love of nature, hiking, being outdoors lured him to begin photographing birds, natural scenery along with people portraits.

He occasionally will catch a few images of bears visiting his pond in Tijeras, NM when the season is dry and before the monsoon starts, as well as several other creatures from the Cibola national forest that starts in his own backyard.
Freelancing is a great way to keep his schedule open or as busy as he wants.
